Job Summary: The Assistant Interiors Retail Manager supports the daily operations of the interiors department within a retail environment. This role involves assisting with visual merchandising, team supervision, customer service, inventory management, and sales strategy implementation. The ideal candidate has a passion for interior design, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced retail setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service & Sales
- Deliver exceptional service to customers by understanding their interior design needs and offering tailored product solutions.
- Assist in achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Resolve customer issues professionally and efficiently.
- Team Support & Leadership
- Support the Retail Manager in leading, training, and motivating the interiors team.
- Supervise staff on the floor and ensure adherence to company policies and standards.
- Assist in scheduling and shift planning.
- Visual Merchandising & Product Presentation
- Help maintain and update store displays in accordance with seasonal themes and brand guidelines.
- Ensure product placement maximizes customer engagement and sales opportunities.
- Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the manager on reordering and stock replenishment.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stockroom organization.
- Operational Support
- Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a retail environment, preferably in interiors, furniture, or home décor.
- Strong interest or background in interior design or visual merchandising.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer skills.
- A positive, proactive attitude and strong team spirit.
