Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
An existing or aspiring Leader within a secondary special school setting (Alternative Provision , PRU, SEMH)
An ability to drive and deliver rapid transformational and cultural change often in challenging circumstances
Proven record of the effective implementation of and commitment to equal opportunities policies
Proven experience in an alternative provision setting for excluded children
Experience in managing or leading SEN settings either specialist or resource base
A clear understanding of what constitutes a good school and what needs to be done to make it outstanding
A deep knowledge and clear understanding of educational legislation, new innovation and developments
The ability to work flexibly and sensitively with staff from a wide variety of disciplines, to ensure that learners continue to have access to a broad and balanced curriculum
Strong understanding and commitment to Safeguarding and Child Protection
Physical ability to perform the duties of the post with aids and adaptations as required
