Are you a reliable, hardworking individual with a keen eye for detail? Do you thrive in early morning shifts and take pride in delivering a high standard of cleanliness? If so, HMP Doncaster is looking for a committed Cleaning Operative to join our facilities team.
This is more than just a cleaning job, it’s a key role in supporting the smooth and safe running of our justice services. As part of a close-knit team of six, you'll help ensure that designated areas are cleaned to a high standard, equipment is properly operated and maintained, and Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
You will be responsible for:
- Cleaning all areas assigned within the cleaning schedule
- Operating cleaning machinery, including vacuums, buffers and wet vacs
- Managing cleaning stock within designated areas
- Supporting the team and undertaking other duties as required
What we’re looking for:Ideally, you’ll have previous domestic or commercial cleaning experience and basic Health & Safety awareness. You should be proactive, able to prioritise your workload, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Good communication and time-management skills are essential. A BICS qualification is desirable but not essential, full training will be provided.
