Full time hours on a temporary basis
We’re seeking a compassionate and detail-focused Inquiries & Decisions Officer to support individuals and families facing homelessness. You’ll assess applications, make decisions under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, and help reduce the backlog of homeless cases.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess and determine homelessness applications (singles and families).
- Provide empathetic, trauma-informed support and advice.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies (e.g. Social Care, MARAC, hospitals).
- Support vulnerable groups including rough sleepers, care leavers, and survivors of domestic abuse.
- Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to service improvement.
- Respond to complaints, councillor enquiries, and Ombudsman requests.
