Shift: Twilight Shift - 4:00pm to 2:15am (Monday to Thursday)

Overview
We're working on behalf of a leading precision engineering business that supplies into high-performance sectors including Motorsport, Automotive, and Defence. They're currently looking for a CMM Inspector to join their quality team on a twilight shift.
This is a hands-on inspection role within a fast-paced, high-precision machining environment. You'll be inspecting complex components using CMM machines and manual inspection tools, with a strong focus on dimensional accuracy, documentation, and programming.
Key Responsibilities
. Carrying out dimensional and visual inspections on machined components
. Operating CMM machines (Aberlink software desirable but not essential)
. Programming CMM routines for component measurement
. Interpreting technical drawings including geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
. Using manual inspection tools - verniers, micrometres, gauges, callipers etc.
. Compiling detailed inspection documentation including ISIRs, FAIRs, CofCs
. Raising non-conformance reports and concessions where required
. Working with various materials including aluminium, steel, castings, and alloys
. Supporting continuous quality improvement alongside engineering and production teams
Requirements
Essential:
. Proven CMM inspection experience
. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
. Confident using a wide range of inspection tools
. Experience generating CMM programs
Desirable:
. Experience using Aberlink CMM software
. Familiarity with FAIRs, ISIRs and compiling quality documentation
. Manual handling and overhead crane/lifting knowledge (training can be provided)
