Self-Employed personal assistant required – Hornby, Lancaster.
A rare chance has arisen for a Personal Assistant to support a smart & vivacious 14 year old male who has an interest in gaming, coding & electronics. This individual is Autistic and has ADHD & OCD. He is looking for a proactive and motivated PA who will encourage & support him to find enjoyable activities in the community. No personal care or physical support is required.
This young person is currently at home full time, engaging in a few hours of online education each week. He is a funny & energetic young man and is great company. Although there is some reluctance from him to accept the need for support or how it could be a positive experience, we hope the right person will change this. At times he experiences anxiety & heightened OCD which can make engagement challenging but the right candidate will be able to bond & have a genuinely good time.

Gaining confidence in social situations
Learning independent living skills
Promoting wellbeing & self esteem
For reassurance to be provided when required
Person:
Experience with Autism & ADHD
A good understanding of the impact OCD can have on daily tasks
Someone with an interest in gaming & coding would be useful but not essential
