Bangor University sports department is seeking a full time Sports Assistant (36.25 hours per week) who's suitably qualified, dynamic and highly motivated to work and assist with the safe running of sporting activities at a number of different locations across Bangor University.
Responsibilities will include daily checks of facility and equipment, set up and take down of equipment, dealing with enquiries, dealing with minor accidents and ensuring the safe running of the sports facilities. All sports facilities at Bangor University are available to the local community as well as students and staff of the University.
Candidates should be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, preferably including English and Maths, have previous experience of working in a sports and/or leisure environment in a public facing role and experience as a participant, coach or similar in a range of sports and activities.
The ability to communicate through the medium of Welsh is desirable for this post. If applicants are not able to speak/write in Welsh at present, there are many opportunities to learn if the successful candidate wishes to do so.
