Salary: £20 gross per hour
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hours Required: 20 hours per week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday are essential, starting in the morning. Additional hours to be added on Tuesday or Thursday mornings, or by extending the core days.
Driver: Not required

A warm, organised family in Parsons Green, South West London, is seeking a proactive and reliable part-time housekeeper to help maintain their 5-bedroom home. This is a permanent daily role requiring 20 hours per week across Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with some flexibility for when the additional hours are added. The family employs a separate nanny and is looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, takes pride in their work, and genuinely wants to support a busy household.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced housekeeper who is confident managing laundry, tidying, and maintaining a clean, welcoming home environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Full house clean every Monday, including:
Living areas, kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and stairs
Occasional vacuuming of the home office
• On Wednesday and Friday:
Tidy and hoover ground floor
Hoover stairs and tidy bedrooms
• Weekly tasks:
Change bed linen and replace towels
Manage all household laundry (wash, fold, and put away by end of week)
• Additional tasks as needed:
Clean guest bedroom when required
Dust bookshelves and mantelpieces
Replenish toilet rolls and bathroom supplies
Sweep leaves from small front and rear patios
Support with one-off tasks such as toy and clothing reorganisation
Requirements
• Experience working as a private housekeeper in a family home
• Strong initiative and a team-oriented approach
• Confident communicator who checks in when unsure and works efficiently alongside the parent at home
• Enjoys both cleaning and tidying/organising
• Trustworthy, respectful, and discreet
• Excellent attention to detail and reliability
• DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
• Two recent and contactable references
