FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY FOR OUTDOOR LOVING ACTIVITY WORKERS
PAY UP TO £280+ PER 24 HOUR SHIFT* Inc. night set rate (DEPENDENT ON QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE)
Short term targeted intervention service offering a tailored package designed to meet the immediate needs of the young person to identify the most appropriate pathway to promote their health and well being. The post may include (as appropriate, dependent on the package) the following:-
Children's Support
Provide the highest standard of personal care for young people while on duty, in line with relevant legislation (The National Minimum Standards and Regulations where appropriate and within Care Today Policies and Procedures)
Devise, monitor and put into practice children’s care plans in line with current legislation, individual needs and outcomes expected.
Deal with admissions in line with current policies and procedures.
Act as key worker for a young person as agreed with the manager.
Work in co-operation with the team to ensure that young people make maximum use of their leisure time.
Undertake children’s meetings and promote young people’s self awareness and independence ensuring that all young people are treated as individuals and a positive family atmosphere is created.
Ensure that young people are involved in the running of the service and learn to take responsibility for themselves, the accommodation and its content.
Where required attend case conferences, reviews etc. and provide written reports as requested.
Work within the Organisations Safe Caring Policy, which includes dressing appropriately (using common sense) to avoid any potential or actual misinterpretation of your style of dress.
To be involved in implementing, monitoring and recording effective outreach work in the community.
Provide and participate in outdoor education activities with the young people as required, e.g. swimming, rock climbing, camping, kayaking, walking, biking etc.
Accommodation Support
Take responsibility, as part of a team, for the daily chores while on duty, in line with current Care Today Policies and Procedures.
Prepare, organise and supervise meal times so that meals are a positive social experience and are nutritionally balanced (include individual and culture preferences)
Contribute to the accommodation (were necessary) being well maintained and there being a high standard of cleanliness.
Work closely with the management team to monitor and control resources within the project as a whole.
Adhere to health and safety standards and keep abreast of new developments and regulations.
Contribute to the effectiveness of hand over sessions
Liaison
Liaise with other agencies in order to support young people and meet their needs.
Maintain contact with and provide support for parents.
Seek out and monitor relevant activities/support for the benefit of young peoples overall development.
Administration
Take responsibility for the upkeep of children’s files and trackers in line with CT Policies and Procedures & National Minimum Standards
Keep records and communication systems for the home up to date in line with CT Policies and Procedures & National Minimum Standards
Take an active role in maintaining an effective accounting system in line with current practice, supported by Team Leads and Registered Manager
Provide written reports as directed by the manager, supported by Team leads and Registered Manager
Other Duties
Attend staff / children’s meetings as required, usually weekly.
Work on a rota system and provide cover for emergencies (e.g. sickness, holidays) as required by the management team.
Undertake any other duties, which might reasonably be expected by the management team and the Directors of Care Today.
SHIFT PATTERN IS 24 HOURS (GENERALLY 3 DAYS ON)
*Advertised shift pay includes for sleepover pay (is example)

Pay: £33,000.00-£34,500.00 per year
