We are seeking an experienced professional to join our ICT team and lead and manage a team of ICT professionals in all aspects of service delivery including project, application support, incident, problem and change management. You will participate as a member of the ICT Management team and be a proactive and positive member. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in management while contributing to the goals of the service and the wider Council.
In this role you will be required to manage, lead and mentor ICT colleagues, conduct regular performance reviews, communicate in a clear and concise manner with all stakeholders, work collaboratively with all Council departments and services and have a joined-up approach in working with the Council Programme Management Office (PMO).
You will be expected to Project Manage complex projects, using formalised project management methodologies whilst adhering to corporate standards.
You will be expected to proactively work with 3rd party solution providers and joint and national bodies to understand opportunities which may be of benefit to the Council and our customers.
You will be expected to manage change, ensure minimal end-user disruption whilst ensuring all application support and project documentation is maintained and up to date.
You will be an effective delegator, ensuring colleagues experience job fulfilment and are prepared with all necessary skills, knowledge and capabilities to fulfil their duties to the highest standards possible.
You will be expected to identify new and emerging hardware, software and communication technologies,
You will be an excellent communicator and team player with positive interpersonal attributes.
Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.
