Oxfordshire CAMHS provides mental health support for children and young people (CYP) through the Getting Help (GH) and Getting More Help (GMH) teams. These services offer assessments, short-term interventions, and ongoing care, with families and carers actively involved throughout.
As Engagement Coordinator, you’ll lead the design and delivery of a new programme that supports CYP and their families from their first contact with the service. You’ll coordinate welcome sessions, develop and run workshops, support peer-led group interventions, and oversee an online platform offering peer support. You’ll also manage a team of parent peer support workers and work closely with clinicians, families, and partner agencies to make sure the engagement offer meets the needs of those accessing care. Your role will help embed recovery-focused practice, strengthen ongoing engagement, and ensure families and carers are supported in their role.
You’ll have experience working with CYP and families, along with a good understanding of mental health and recovery-focused approaches. You’ll be confident in leading engagement activities, managing peer support roles, and working collaboratively across teams. Experience of lived experience or peer support is welcome.
If you want to help improve how young people and families connect with CAMHS, we’d like to hear from you.

- Offer guidance to peer support workers, collaborate on educational and promotional materials, and maintain accurate clinical records in line with service policies.
