Competitive rates of Pay and excellent benefits. Full Time.
We are looking to recruit a General Engineering Technician/Trainer with relevant experience in general engineering, who may be seeking a change in career or already working in a similar role and keen to progress. We are ideally looking for someone to start in mid-March.
Working in our very successful Engineering department, the post will provide support to both the lecturer and students, assisting in the delivery of practical lessons. Duties will include, ensuring machinery and equipment are maintained, inspected and records kept, maintaining a safe working environment and preparing materials and equipment for practical activities.
Passing on your knowledge and experience to future talent can be hugely rewarding and gives you the opportunity to shape the future of your industry’s workforce.
Experience of welding would be an advantage, but is not essential. In addition, you need to be an enthusiastic and motivated individual who can engage with FE students to ensure that they reach their full potential.
This is a superb opportunity for a first-class applicant to work in an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ College. In turn we can offer you interesting and varied work with an excellent benefits package.
Benefits include: LGPS Pension, 32 days holiday, onsite gym, Employee Assistance Programme including Savings Centre offering retail discounts, Refectory and free on-site parking.
Farnborough College of Technology is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
Interviews will take place shortly after the published closing date or when a suitable number of appropriate applications have been received, so early submissions are encouraged. Suitable candidates may be interviewed before the closing date and we reserve the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made.
Please note we are not accepting speculative applications from agencies.
