Salary: London: £61201 - £73875 (which may include an allowance of up to £12674). National: £56532 - £69150 (which may include an allowance of up to £12618).

Working pattern: Full time, part time, flexible working, job share.

Contract Type: Permanent.

The Role

We’re recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (macOS) here at Justice Digital, to be part of our warm and collaborative End User Compute Services (EUCS) team.

This role aligns against Senior Infrastructure Engineer from the Government Digital and Data Framework.

The EUCS Team design, deliver and support the core infrastructure and systems that enable End User Compute Services and line of business applications for over 100,000 Ministry of Justice users across over 800 locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in supporting and developing a team of Engineers, promoting a culture of best practice and striving to achieve team goals.
Contribute to the design, building, and operation of modern and user-centric End User Computing (EUC) solutions and services that enable the Ministry of Justice to deliver services across the UK.
Collaborate with key suppliers to assist in managing EUC infrastructure in various environments, such as cloud, data centres, and organisational sites.
Maintain a good understanding of the latest standards and practices relevant to the role, sharing acquired knowledge and insights with the team and the MoJ’s Digital community.
Assist in implementing best practices throughout the development life cycle, focusing on designated product areas.
Support engineering teams in the implementation of scripting tools or automation solutions to streamline manual processes and improve efficiency.
Own problems, proactively initiate and monitor actions to investigate patterns, trends and to resolve any blockages.
Foster effective collaboration with other areas of EUCS and Justice Digital, contributing to shared goals and the delivery of integrated solutions.

The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will work collaboratively with:

Lead Engineers
Technical Architecture and Service Operations teams
3rd party Service Managers, Project and Technical leads
Senior Operations Managers within the EUC team
Key MOJ stakeholders

Please note, you will be required to take part in an on-call rota, sharing the responsibility of providing out of hours engineering cover for major incidents for which an additional allowance is payable.
