Summary
shoezone has an opportunity for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team based in Distribution Centre in Leicester. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis (42 hours worked over a 4 day week) and in return, you will receive thorough training and competitive salary with excellent benefits.

During an average year we sell 14.5 million pairs of shoes per annum at an average retail price of £13.
The HGV Class 2 Driver role:
As a driver, you are the vital link between our Warehouse and the Stores, ensuring that the stores receive all their stock at the right time. This position entails work of a physical nature, as you will be required to move stock from the back of the lorry into the Stores. Drivers will report to the Transport Co-ordinator.
Key duties and responsibilities of our HGV Class 2 Driver:
To drive a company HGV and ensure that it remains roadworthy
Required to 'handball' stock from the back of the lorry into the store and to load any items that need to be returned to the Distribution Centre from the store.
Follow the correct driver hours and rules of the road.
May be required to do lone worker key drops, whereby delivery is out of store hours.
Overnight stays may be required dependant on the route allocated.
Ensure that the lorry is kept clean and tidy internally and externally on a weekly basis.
What we’re looking for in our HGV Class 2 Driver:
A Class 2 license is essential
Required to have an up-to-date Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
The ability to efficently monitor your driving hours.
