HR Advisor – Warehouse & Transport
Location: Melton (HU14 3HJ)
Salary: Competitive
Are you an HR professional looking to take the next step in your career? Heron Foods is looking for an HR Advisor to join our
friendly and supportive People Team, based at our Store Support Centre in Melton, near North Ferriby. You’ll be working closely
with our Warehouse and Transport teams, helping to support and improve how we manage, develop, and engage our people.
This is a great opportunity for someone with generalist HR experience to build on their knowledge in a fast-paced, operational
environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Provide day-to-day HR support and advice to managers and team members in our Warehouse and Transport departments.
* Help manage employee relations cases such as absence, disciplinary, and grievance matters.
* Work with the Training Manager to support learning and development initiatives.
* Support performance management processes and help managers with coaching and guidance.
* Ensure HR policies and procedures are followed and that we stay compliant with employment law.
* Keep HR records up to date and assist with regular reporting and data tracking.
* Attend team meetings and offer practical HR advice when needed.
What We’re Looking For
* CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards it).
* Experience in a generalist HR role—experience in warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing would be a plus.
* A good understanding of UK employment law.
* Confident communicator with a supportive and approachable style.
* Comfortable handling employee relations cases with guidance.
* Organised, with a good eye for detail and a proactive approach to work.
* Willing to get involved and support the team wherever needed.
