Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (FMCG)
Location: Somerset
Shifts: Monday to Friday - 6:00am-2:15pm / 2:00pm-10:15pm
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Overview:
Our client, a well-established wet wipe manufacturer based in Somerset, is looking to expand their engineering team with the addition of two Mechanical Engineers who ideally bring some electrical experience. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a wide range of converting and packaging machinery in a busy FMCG production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Perform reactive and planned preventative maintenance across site equipment
•
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults
•
Source and replace spare parts as needed
•
Support continuous improvement projects on existing and new machinery
•
Ensure all work complies with safety and quality standards
Requirements:
•
Previous experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within FMCG, manufacturing, or a similar environment
•
Strong mechanical background with some electrical knowledge
•
Recognised engineering qualification (HNC, NVQ, or equivalent)
•
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (mechanical and electrical)
•
Familiarity with pneumatics and PLCs
•
Knowledge of CAD systems is a plus
•
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
•
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
