Crynodeb
The Grange is a 26 bed nursing home situated in the village of Sherborne St John near Basingstoke. We are currently seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our existing catering team. 30 hours per week to include alternate weekends.
Duties (this is not an exhaustive list)
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring.
preparation and serving of light snacks, sandwiches etc.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment, according to the cleaning schedules and as directed by the Cooks.
Ensure the dining area is kept clean and tidy, tables laid in preparation for meals.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment in a care setting is preferred but not essential.
Basic knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
Flexibility to cover shifts as required.
