Female Personal Assistant required to assist a female child with Neurological and Learning Disabilities, living in the Bellshill area.
You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home, and in the community including attending to personal care and participation in social activities. Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:
· Attending to all personal care needs (promoting with toileting including bowel movements)
· Swimming, cinema, music singing, going to parks, other physical activities
· Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living.
Pets in the household – you must be comfortable working with a dog.
Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
Driver with Full UK Driving Licence is essential and you will be required to use your own vehicle – mileage allowance will be paid.
Experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided on epilepsy.
Recruiting for 1 position
Guaranteed permanent position of 3 hours per week (can be flexible over the month, for example 6 hrs every fortnight)
Weekend role, for example Saturday: 12:00pm – 15:00pm
£12.60 per hour
