Crynodeb
A professional qualification at degree level or equivalent in Occupational Therapy. Additional specialist training and qualification to post graduate diploma level or equivalent in supervision and/or leadership skills. Knowledge of the provision of healthcare forchildren, young people and families within the NHS. Knowledge of relevant legislation, NHS policy and other national policy relating to children and young people and its implications for area of specialty. Specialist skill in the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, highly complex, technical and/or clinically sensitive information to children/young people and families, carers and other professionalcolleagues both within and outside the service, adapting your approach according to the individual needs of the audience. The ability to form and maintain good working relationships with others inmultidisciplinary and inter-agency settings. Daily operation of IT equipment. Ability to travel across Devon. Proactive, energetic, enthusiastic, able to inspire and motivate others.Self-motivated, confident, reflective. Standing/sitting with limited scope for movement for long periods; Frequently. Clinical work with service users. Processing (e.g. typing/transmitting) news of highly distressing events.Giving unwelcome news to patients/ clients/carers/staff.
