Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with a focus on quality and precision. Experience in the fabrication of mild steel components is essential. The Fabricator/Welder will play a crucial part in assembling components and ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality.
Duties
Operation of appropriate welding plant, hand and electric tools.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and perform fabrications and welding within the set tolerance.
Assemble parts using hand tools and power tools, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
Collaborate with team members to optimise production processes and resolve any issues that arise during fabrication.
Record daily safety checks on welding plant and equipment.
Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Requirements
Must be qualified to fabricate free hand and using welding aids to manufacture products to engineering drawings.
Proven experience in hydraulic fitting is essential.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various hand tools and power tools effectively.
Ability to read engineering drawings and follow technical instructions.
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
