Summary

Are you an organised, proactive and people-focused professional looking to make a meaningful impact in mental health services? We’re seeking a dedicated Business/Administration Manager to support our Liaison Psychiatry teams across two acute hospital sites.

In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the operational and strategic management of our business administration systems, ensuring resources and facilities are used effectively in line with Core 24 standards. You’ll work closely with the Service Manager, Team Leaders and wider clinical and administrative teams to drive performance, maintain data quality, and support financial and workforce planning.

The post provides equal support to North Kent's two liaison psychiatry teams. It is therefore envisaged that 50% of the working week will be dedicated to Medway Liaison Psychiatry Team based at Medway Maritime Hospital and 50% to Dartford Liaison Psychiatry Team based at Darent Valley Hospital.

The post is based at Medway Maritime Hospital, and there is an expectation that the post-holder will need to attend the Dartford Liaison Team at Darent Valley Hospital on a regular basis.

The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Leading and managing administrative staff, including recruitment, supervision, and performance development.
• Supporting service delivery through effective budget management and data analysis.
• Driving improvements in patient experience, digital processes, and estates coordination.
• Providing project management support and contributing to service development initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with Trust policies, including health and safety, safeguarding, and infection control

What We’re Looking For:
• Relevant Degree or professional qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Extensive experience in using IT systems and databases
• Experience of supervising staff and senior level secretarial and administration experience
• Experience of report writing
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with business insurance (essential for working across sites).

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking team where your leadership and organisational skills will help shape the future of our psychiatric liaison services.

We are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and empowering environment for both staff and patients. If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and contribute to high-quality mental health care, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and help us make a difference.
