Summary


Due to the current post holder going on maternity leave we have an exciting opportunity to join Broomfield Hospital in the role of Clinical Therapy Lead for Respiratory, Surgery and Orthopedics on a 12month fixed term contract.

We are seeking a motivated and committed physiotherapist with clinical and leadership experience who is keen to further develop the service.

This role will be undertaken in partnership with a supportive therapy leadership team. The successful candidate will lead an integrated therapy team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists and therapy assistants.

The Lead Therapist for respiratory, surgical and orthopedics, will be responsible for the direct line management of each team, its delegated budget, and associated resources. The lead therapist will provide leadership to the delegated Therapy Team and will work closely with the Head of Therapy, other Therapy leads, Service Managers and Senior nurse's to ensure the team is developed to meet the needs of patients and commissioners.

To directly manage and provide excellent leadership to the designated therapy team.

To provide professional leadership ensuring that practice meets local and national standards, and the profession continues to develop and evolve to meet the needs of stakeholders.

To effectively manage a delegated budget within set resources and work towards releasing efficiency savings through robust management and opportunities for continuous service re-design.

To develop effective relationships with all agencies to improve patient pathways.

To be responsible for the implementation of new roles and ways of working against set aims.

To be involved in the monitoring of therapy activity and liaise with Divisional General Managers to affect changes to operational services in partnerships with other teams so that the service is flexible and responsive to meet commissioner and patient needs

To be responsible for quality standards within the Therapy Team to implement an effective service through attendance and contribution at both internal and external strategy groups.

To demonstrate improvements in operational services though robust internal monitoring systems.

To lead audit activity in all aspects of care.

To contribute and engage with the MSE therapy strategy and projects which may contribute to this.
