Upper Grove Farm is a working farm and rural retreat in the heart of Suffolk. We run seven beautiful self-catering cabins across two sites, offering guests peaceful countryside stays all year round. In addition, the farm hosts commercial units and offices and has a growing reputation as a unique rural destination.
About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable, hands-on team member to join us in a varied role focused primarily on changeovers for our cabins and general site cleaning, but with plenty of opportunity to get involved in other areas of farm life and upkeep.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out thorough cleans and changeovers for our seven self-catering cabins.
Launder and manage bed linen and towels to a high standard.
Clean communal and commercial areas, including farm offices and units.
Help with basic administrative tasks (e.g., meter readings, filing, bookkeeping support).
Maintain outdoor areas: mow lawns, water plants, general gardening, strimming, and pressure washing as needed.
Assist with farm tasks such as feeding and mucking out pigs, tending to sheep and other livestock.
Hours:
Core hours: 11am – 3pm, 7 days a week (on a rota).
Additional hours available and can be worked flexibly outside the core cleaning window.
Who We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping or similar is preferred.
Must be able to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in all weathers (the cabins operate year-round).
Happy to get stuck in with a wide variety of practical tasks.
A full driving licence is highly required due to our rural location.
Friendly, dependable, and able to work independently as well as part of a small team.
Perks:
Flexible hours outside of mandatory changeovers.
Staff discounts on stays and farm products.
Discounts with our sister company, a local wine merchant.
Opportunity to grow with the business as we continue developing Upper Grove Farm into a sought-after destination.
Salary:
Dependent on experience.
How to Apply:
If you’d like to join our friendly, down-to-earth team and play a vital role in keeping Upper Grove Farm looking its best, please send your CV and a short cover letter.
