Job Title: Goods In Operative
Location: Midlands
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:15
Pay Rate: £12.21 – £13.00 per hour
Overtime: Available based on workload and production requirements
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a reliable and proactive Goods In Operative to join our longstanding Client. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for managing the goods-in and stores functions, ensuring stock is received, processed, and distributed efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive deliveries from suppliers and accurately record stock using our Sage system
Update and maintain stock records, ensuring accuracy and traceability
Allocate received goods to specific projects to support full traceability
Assist colleagues in identifying and processing inbound stock in a timely manner
Support with outbound despatch processes, including wrapping, palletising, and generating delivery documents
Maintain the stock control system and ensure records are up-to-date
Unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
Inspect incoming goods for visible damage or issues in transit
Undertake occasional UK-based driving duties as required
Requirements:
Proven experience in a goods-in or warehouse operative role
Organised and detail-oriented in daily working practices
Proficient in basic IT tasks, particularly data entry
Valid, clean UK driving licence
Valid forklift truck licence would be preferred
