Crynodeb
The postholder will undertake elective clinics, and will undertake one to two whole day operating lists per week according to demand. Operating lists will be under consultant supervision. The postholder will be expected to maintain the highest clinical standards in the practice of orthopaedic surgery, and will undertake any reasonable clinical responsibility which relates to orthopaedic surgery. The postholder will be expected to be actively involved in the day to day running of the department. They will be expected to take an active and engaged role in departmental and academic responsibilities as allocated by agreement across the department. The successful applicants will engage fully and proactively in clinical governance activities, including clinical audit. The postholder will be expected to engage in continuing professional development. A formal job plan will be agreed between the appointees and the Clinical Director prior to the commencement date of the appointment. The posts shall be for 6 months, renewable by agreement. It will cover all aspects of clinical work, teaching, research, education and managerial responsibilities, including a clear schedule of commitments. It shall also include personal objectives.
