-

-
Team Collaboration: Fostering strong relationships with internal departments (legal, estimating, operations) and external stakeholders.
-
Compliance: Ensuring all projects comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and health and safety requirements.
-
Process Improvement: Contributing to the continuous improvement of our contract management procedures and best practices.
What We're Looking For:
-
Proven Experience: Significant experience as a Contracts Manager or Senior Contracts Manager within a UK Main Contractor, specifically on building projects up to £30m.
-
Commercial Expertise: A strong understanding of various contract forms (e.g., JCT, NEC) and a track record of successful contract negotiation and administration.
-
Construction Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of construction methods, industry regulations, and best practices.
-
Legal Acumen: A solid grasp of contract law and its application within the construction sector.
-
Leadership & Communication: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and manage diverse stakeholders.
-
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
-
Qualifications: A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is highly desirable. Professional certifications (e.g., MCIOB, RICS) are a plus.
-
West Midlands Based: A strong preference for candidates based in or with easy access to the West Midlands.
