Accounts Payable Manager
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join a well-established and respected organisation based in Llandudno. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys taking ownership of the accounts payable function and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The
Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the full purchase ledger process, manage supplier relationships, and ensure financial compliance. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on accuracy, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the purchase ledger: raise purchase orders, process invoices, verify delivery notes, and oversee payment authorisations
- Oversee employee expenses and company credit card reconciliations
- Support project billing by exporting data and liaising with project teams
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure accurate coding of transactions
- Maintain supplier records, assess credentials, and support compliance evaluations
- Continuously review and improve finance processes and procedures
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounts payable role, ideally in a multi-currency environment
- Strong working knowledge of SAGE, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- GCSEs in English and Mathematics (or equivalent)
Desirable
- Further education in Finance or Business (A Levels, NVQ, BTEC)
- Previous experience in a similar managerial or senior AP role
- Experience working in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
