Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join an inclusive and supportive team. You will play a key role in providing high-quality education and tailored support to pupils with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and socially. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a SEN Teacher:

  • Plan, deliver and assess lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils.

  • Develop and adapt resources and strategies to support differentiated learning.

  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals.

  • Monitor and record pupil progress, maintaining accurate records and contributing to EHCP reviews and annual reports.

  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers and colleagues.

  • Promote an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.

Ideal SEN Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

  • Experience teaching pupils with special educational needs is highly desirable.

  • A thorough understanding of SEND best practice and relevant legislation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a SEN Teacher.

  • A caring, patient and resilient approach.

  • Ability to inspire and motivate pupils with diverse needs.
