Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with the local council to recruit Public Waste Collectors. This is a physically active, outdoor role offering regular hours and the chance to contribute to essential public services.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Safely load and unload refuse and recycling bins
    • Walk and lift for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day)
    • Ensure all waste is collected and disposed of in a safe, compliant manner
    • Interact respectfully with the public and represent the council professionally
    • Work both independently and as part of a collection team

    About You:

      • Must hold a valid UK driving licence
      • Able to travel to site for a 6:00 AM start
      • Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weathers
      • Positive, reliable, and team-oriented
      • Available to start immediately

      Pay & Benefits:

        • £12.88 per hour, with annual increases based on service length
        • Enhanced pay for overtime hours
        • Paid weekly via the agency
        • Ongoing, long-term opportunity with potential for permanent placement
