Pay Rate: £305.84 per day PAYE

Contract Length: 12 months

Our Client is seeking an experienced, qualified accountant to join its Central Finance team, taking the lead on Capital and Treasury accounting. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the Client's capital programme and treasury function, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strategic oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and monitor the capital programme and compliance with governance frameworks
Provide expert technical advice on capital and treasury matters to accountants and senior leaders
Manage cash flows, borrowing strategies, and surplus fund investments per the Treasury Strategy
Produce key statutory financial documents and manage statutory returns
Lead all financial accounting for Capital, Treasury, and Leasing transactions
Candidate Requirements:
Fully qualified accountant (e.g., CIPFA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
Strong relationship-building and influencing skills
In-depth knowledge of Local Government Capital and Treasury Accounting (highly desirable)
Able to meet tight deadlines and uphold high ethical and professional standards
