Pay rate: £30.59 per hour PAYE
Working Arrangement: Hybrid, Flexible working. Candidates should be located within our operating region which includes Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon & Cornwall. You will need to travel for the role so will need to be happy with this, although the role is hybrid so they can base themselves from home.
The role:
On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Housing Home Ownership Manager for approximately 2 months (this opportunity could become temp to perm for the right person).
The team are seeking a strong housing leader to take on this role who can ensure service delivery is maintained, whilst providing leadership to the team.
It is essential that you have significant experience in leading a housing team.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the Home Ownership Team, ensuring efficient service delivery and high performance.
Set and review objectives, monitor performance, and lead the team to deliver professional, customer-focused services.
Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement, conduct staff reviews and development, and ensure compliance with policies, legislation, and regulatory requirements.
Support policy development, manage budgets effectively, and ensure services deliver value for money
What the client is looking for:
Significant experience in leading a housing team.
Experience of supporting policy development, manage budgets effectively, and ensure services deliver value for money
Diploma in housing or evidence of continuing professional development – desirable
Professional qualified member of CIH - desirable
Reasonable level of IT skills
Commitment to service improvements and improved outcomes for customers
Experience of working with challenging and vulnerable customers and getting positive outcomes
Ability to communicate effectively with customers colleagues and suppliers
Able to handle enquiries in a confident, professional and competent manner
Has strong problem-solving skills
