About the Finance Team
We are a small but effective friendly team, with a Finance Manager, two Finance Officers and a Finance Assistant. Situated in the business office which also has the Careers, HR and administration functions, there is a great working atmosphere. We are always open to ideas about improving and streamlining processes and encourage professional development for our team members.
About You
We are looking for a flexible, highly effective, efficient and organised Finance officer to support our Finance team with the day to day running of school finances.
Core responsibilities will focus primarily on supporting with preparation of month end, processing invoices and purchase orders and reconciling a range of financial transitions including supplier accounts. Other duties will include undertaking main reception duties as and when required to cover for absence and daily lunch break.
Previous work experience within an office environment is essential and applicants must demonstrate a good standard of numeracy and literacy. The ideal candidate will have 5 GCSEs grades 4 and above including English and Maths and excellent MS office skills e.g. Excel and Word to an intermediate level. An AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable but not essential. Knowledge of safeguarding requirements for working with children would be a distinct advantage but not essential.
