Position: Primary Teaching Assistant
Location: Crawley
Working Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive primary school in your local area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside teachers and pupils across Early Years, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, providing valuable support where it's needed most. Your role will be essential in helping to create a positive, engaging, and supportive learning environment for all children.
SEN experience is highly desirable, as you may be working one-to-one or with small groups of children with additional learning needs.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:-
Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

Working with pupils on a one-to-one or small group basis, particularly those with SEN

Helping to create a nurturing and safe classroom environment

Assisting with classroom preparation, displays, and general admin tasks

Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence

Collaborating with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to meet pupil needs

Experience working in a primary school setting (voluntary or paid)

SEN experience or understanding of various additional needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties)

A positive, patient, and adaptable approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
