Randstad Education is looking for a dedicated and experienced Leader/Head of Media Studies to support KS4 and KS5 students in a school in Crawley. This opportunity provides a competitive pay, aligned with your expertise, qualifications, and teaching background.
Our client is a secondary school committed to providing high-quality education and fostering a dynamic learning environment for its students. The school values innovation, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence. This role is a key leadership position within the Media department.
This is a permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday - Friday inline with school hours 8:30AM-15:00PM.

Requirements:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Possess an excellent degree in Media or a related subject.
- Have proven experience as an exceptional Media teacher across KS4 and KS5.
- Have demonstrable experience in successful departmental leadership.
- Possess strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Passionate about Media and committed to high student achievement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a clear vision and strategic plan for the Media department.
- Lead the development and review of a comprehensive Media curriculum at KS4 and KS5.
- Inspire, motivate, and manage the Media department team, providing guidance and support.
- Ensure departmental practices align with school policies and safeguarding procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning within the department.
- Establish strong partnerships with parents/carers, involving them in their child's learning.

- Expert in Media curriculum and digital teaching tools.
- Demonstrates strong communication, organisation, and management skills.
