to hear from you!
Swaay is looking for a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team!

As our Speech and Language Therapist, you will work collaboratively for each young person and be responsible for holding your own
speech and language caseload, including working with our diagnostics team to provide neurodevelopmental diagnosis. You will
undertake assessments, deliver comprehensive reports and intervention plans, as well as develop and evaluate individual and group

As part of your role, you will also provide guidance and training to staff as part of the ‘whole organisation approach’.
Experience/qualifications:
* Qualified SALT and RCSLT registered

* Interaction between SEMH disorders and speech, language and communication needs

* Advanced observational skills in formal and informal settings to guide SALT and neurodevelopmental assessment
* Ability to interpret and manage complex/highly complex facts regarding caseload
* Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams to develop formulations around complex cases
* ADOS and ADI-R training (desirable)
Duties:
* Undertaking specialist assessments of a young person’s speech, language and communication skills (via observations, interviews
with core staff or diagnostic speech and language sessions)
* Writing comprehensive speech and language assessment reports
* Conducting individual and group interventions with the young people residing at SWAAY and those referred for community-based
services
* Providing advice, guidance and training to other SWAAY employees
* Working collaboratively with residential and education staff
