Senior Legal Counsel
Home based/ flexible location
Able to consider reduced hours - 4 days/ week if preferred
As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will join our dynamic and collaborative Capita Legal Team reporting to the Head of Legal and have specific responsibility for our technology commercial contracts.
You will be a trusted legal business partner who builds good relationships with key stakeholders and works independently but as part of a team. You will have excellent communication and drafting skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. You will have a technology commercial contract experience, preferably in an in-house role, experience with the likes of Amazon, Azur, Salesforce and Google.

What we're looking for:
Essential
• Qualified UK lawyer in- house with experience in technology contracts to support the design and sale of technology - this would suit PQE 5 - 8 years
• Legal commercial contracts specialist with technology contracting experience of selling products through hypers scalers, experience of automation, IPR and AI
• Able to demonstrate good data protection knowledge
• Must have experience of reviewing, negotiating and drafting bespoke contracts not just working on industry standard form contracts.
What you'll be doing:
• Providing accurate, timely and pragmatic legal advice.
• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating mutually beneficial relationships with relevant third parties in line with the governance framework and Capita preferred positions (where available).
• Drafting standard governance policies and procedures and corporate legal templates.
• Briefing the Head of Legal) on contractual relationships of concern, other areas of legal risk and opportunities.
• Stakeholder management, which includes a close working relationship within GSS and wider organisation.
• Liaising with business to provide proactive corporate legal support for all corporate activity, including finance, regulatory and mergers and acquisitions.
• Making judicious decisions on deviations from Capita preferred positions, with escalations to relevant individuals where appropriate.
• Contributing to the maintenance of precedents, template agreements and know-how..
• Assisting with internal reporting and ad-hoc projects.
