The post holder will plan, coordinate and manage their activities to engage with identified personnel from the three Welsh cancer centres: namely Velindre Cancer Centre in Cardiff; the South West Wales Cancer Centre in Swansea; and the North Wales Cancer Centre in Colwyn Bay, and HEIW (Health Education and Innovation Wales) to understand and describe the service needs and the aspirations for developing a multi-professional radiotherapy target delineation workforce. The primary focus of the role is to ascertain if training needs for multi-professional target delineation can be met using existing courses and frameworks, otherwise identifying the resources and systems required to develop a training pipeline to fill the gap. The post holder will champion Value Based Healthcare (VBHC) and work to develop a costed business case for multi-professional radiotherapy target definition training to improve patient outcomes while improving resource utilisation, partnering with Medical Physics, Radiotherapy and Clinical Oncology departments, HEIW and other Stakeholders to facilitate the education and training of clinical and scientific roles in the principles of VBHC. This post will be hosted by Velindre Cancer Centre. However, line management and working location will be decided based on the successful candidates current place of work. You will be able to find a full Job description and Person Specification attached within the supporting documents or please click Apply now to view in Trac. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
