Crynodeb
Inpatient - Elm ward - Male LSUThe main responsibilities include providing inpatient care to a maximum of 7 patients on a male low secure ward at the Hellingly Centre. The post-holder will assess patients referred from various sources including step-down from MSU, PICU, Prison services, General Adult services, CAMHS, and Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) provider collaborative for suitability of admission to a Low Secure Unit. All referrals come through a single point of access via weekly referral meetings. On an average there are 2 referrals per month. Forensic Outreach & Liaison Service-Learning Disability and Autism (LD&A)The post-holder would provide advice to complex LD&A cases by Risk Assessment and Formulation (RAF) approximately 2 referrals per week and carry a small case load (up to 12) LD&A community patients. They would also provide occasional assessments of prisoners thought not to require hospital admission whose home area is within the catchment area; such assessments arise no more than two or three times per year.
