Our client, a well-established provider of children’s residential services across Lancashire, is seeking an experienced Responsible Individual (RI) / Service Manager to oversee multiple homes in the Accrington and Rochdale area.

The Role

As RI, you’ll provide strategic oversight and operational support to a cluster of children’s homes, ensuring they meet Ofsted requirements and deliver outstanding care. Working closely with Registered Managers and the senior leadership team, you’ll drive performance, quality assurance, compliance, and development of services.

Key Duties

• Line manage and support Registered Managers
• Oversee compliance with Children’s Homes Regs & Quality Standards
• Lead on inspections, audits, and service development
• Monitor budgets, staffing, and referrals
• Support recruitment, supervision, and staff development
• Collaborate with external professionals to achieve positive outcomes for young people

Requirements

• NVQ/Diploma Level 5 in Leadership & Management (Children’s Residential)
• Previous experience as a Registered Manager or in a senior RI role
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted standards, safeguarding, and children’s legislation
• Proven leadership and performance management skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
