Are you ready to take the next step in your catering career? Bexhill College is looking for a motivated and organised Catering Supervisor to lead our on-site catering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a busy, friendly catering operation and contribute to the day-to-day life of our college community.
About the RoleAs Catering Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily service, leading a small team, and ensuring high standards of food quality, customer service, and hygiene. You’ll work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during term time.
This role is perfect for someone with prior experience in catering who enjoys hands-on work and team leadership in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of meals and snacks
- Supervise and delegate tasks to team members during shifts
- Deliver outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors
- Operate tills and manage cash handling with accuracy
- Carry out daily cash reconciliation
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are consistently met
- Work closely with the catering manager to maintain smooth service delivery
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment
Skills & Experience
- Previous catering experience required
- Strong organisational and leadership skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Confident in running shifts and making decisions under pressure
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
