British Sign Language BSL Support Assistant - Secondary SchoolLocation: CoventryStart Date: Monday 1st September 2025 Days: 4 days a week Monday to Thursday Hours: 0830am to 0330pmContract: Long term with the potential to become permanent
Do you have a passion for inclusive education and fluency in British Sign Language? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate BSL Support Assistant to join our welcoming secondary school team.
What you will do
- Provide one to one and small group support for students who use BSL
- Support classroom learning and adapt materials to suit individual needs
- Foster communication between students teachers and peers
- Work closely with the SEND team to promote an inclusive learning environment
What we are looking for
- Proficiency in BSL Level 2 or above preferred
- Experience working in an educational setting is ideal
- A patient empathetic and collaborative approach
- A commitment to supporting young people with additional needs
