Your Role and Responsibilities

Academic Support

• Support learning across KS3 and KS4, focusing on core subjects: English, Maths, and Science
• Deliver 1:1 and small-group interventions to help students make progress
• Assist teachers in creating engaging and inclusive lesson materials

Student Development

• Build strong relationships as a positive role model for students
• Support pupils with SEN and/or EAL needs
• Implement behaviour strategies that enhance learning and classroom engagement

Professional Contribution

• Track student progress and support school-wide academic initiatives
• Promote the school’s inclusive ethos and contribute to its community engagement
• Work collaboratively with staff across departments

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Minimum 2:1 degree in any subject (Education, English, Maths, Science, Psychology preferred)
• Genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, adaptable mindset and cultural awareness
• Resilience and professionalism in busy classroom environments

Desirable

• Experience working with young people (e.g. mentoring, tutoring, coaching, volunteering)
• Awareness of educational support strategies
• Familiarity with diverse or community-focused school settings
