You will work within our Children’s Physiotherapy department here at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and successful team; together we are proud to deliver the highest standards of clinical quality, patient care and staff experience.

Your happiness at work is incredibly important to us, and hence, we are committed to supporting your health and wellbeing. Our proud to CARE values and Leading the Chesterfield Way behaviours are firmly embedded across the Trust, whilst our focus on proudly ‘being you’ supports our hospital to be a great place to work.

As the selection process will involve a practical element you will be required to attend a face-to-face interview.

You will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to support children, young people and their families by assessing their needs and devising appropriate interventions.

You will be responsible for managing your own varied caseload and work autonomously across a variety of settings which may include special and mainstream schools, hospital and community clinics and patient’s homes.

You will assist with hydrotherapy and CPIP’s clinics and support audit and patient feedback projects.

The role demands excellent team working, time keeping and communication skills.

This post would be ideal for a Physiotherapist with relevant experience who wishes to further develop specialist paediatric skills.

We have excellent links and working arrangements with other teams in Specialist Children’s Services and with Education and Social Care teams. You will work as part of a supportive and friendly team based at The Den, our purpose-built centre for children’s services at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.

As a skilled and valued member of our team you will additionally educate and mentor other less experienced physiotherapists, healthcare professionals and physiotherapy students.

The hospital is a friendly District General Hospital on the doorstep of the beautiful Peak District. This post presents a great opportunity to live and work in some of the finest landscape in the country.

Major cities such as Sheffield, Leeds, Nottingham and Derby are all within an hour’s train journey, and local airports include East Midlands, Manchester and Leeds Bradford, with London within a couple of hours.

There are excellent schools in the local area, only a few minutes from the hospital, as well as nursery childcare on-site.

Please see the Job Description document for further information about the role and job requirements. Please do not hesitate to get in touch should you have any questions.

We are committed to providing you with on-going training and development to ensure you thrive in your role here at the Trust, which will be individualised and supported by your Line manager.

The key to our success is simple: our people. With your experience, energy and commitment, you’ll be able to make a huge difference.

A car driver with a full current driving licence is essential. For disabled applicants; suitable alternative arrangements may be agreed, if necessary.

Please note that this post will require an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
