Strengthening Families is a vital part of our Children and Family Support Services, providing intensive, multi-agency support to children, young people, and families facing complex challenges. We focus on strengthening parenting capacity and empowering families to achieve long-term, positive outcomes.
Using an Early Help approach, we offer a wide range of interventions—from direct work with families to group programs addressing parenting and domestic abuse. Working in partnership with other agencies, we build a strong team around each family to support lasting, meaningful change.

We are now seeking a skilled and committed Senior Practitioner to join the Strengthening Families Team in North Northamptonshire.
In this key leadership role, you will:
- Lead and supervise a team of practitioners who deliver high-level, complex interventions to children and families.
- Provide professional guidance and oversight, ensuring that practice is safe, effective, and aligned with agreed standards and timescales.
- Use your extensive knowledge of complex family issues to help your team respond with tailored, evidence-informed support.
- Promote a culture of high-quality, outcome-focused practice that listens to the voices and lived experiences of children.
- Work closely with partners across education, social care, and health to deliver holistic, sustainable change for families.
- Drive continuous improvement through a strong focus on quality assurance and best practice.

About youWe're looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with substantial experience in leading and motivating high-performing teams in Early Help, Targeted Support, Social Work, Education, or a relevant health discipline.
- Experienced in whole-family, preventative work and confident in assessing risk, safeguarding, and planning interventions.
- Skilled in supervising or coaching staff to deliver impactful, trauma-informed support to vulnerable families.
- A strong collaborator who thrives on building partnerships and delivering results through integrated, child-centred services.
- Passionate about making a difference and committed to supporting families to achieve lasting, positive change.
