We are seeking an energetic and motivated Band 7 Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our paediatric OT service at Evelina London Children’s Hospital. This is a full time permanent post. The post holder will work as part of the Evelina REACH team and outpatient Stroke/ABI Recovery clinics.

The successful candidate will deliver clinical care across the Stroke/ABI Recovery Clinic and Evelina REACH Services.

In the Stroke/ABI Recovery Clinic, you will collaborate with a specialist neuropsychologist to lead face-to-face and virtual clinics, offering specialist consultation across occupational domains. Children may present with complex medical and/or neurodevelopmental needs, requiring flexible, individualised recommendations.

The Evelina REACH team, provides protocol-driven upper limb rehabilitation for children with asymmetric upper limb presentation. Approaches include bimanual therapy, modified constraint-induced movement therapy, and goal-directed, task-based occupational therapy. You will conduct detailed assessments and deliver targeted interventions in partnership with families, community therapists, to support children’s goals in self-care, school, and play.

Liaison with professionals in health, education, and social care to ensure holistic, child-centred care is essential. The role includes supervising students, supporting team-wide clinical standards, and contributing to service development alongside clinical specialist OTs.

Ongoing professional development is supported through training, reflection, and wider learning opportunities, participating in audits, journal reviews, service evaluations, and potentially research. Strong communication and collaborative working skills are essential to delivering integrated, high-quality care.

This Band 7 Occupational Therapist (OT) post is within the paediatric OT service at the Evelina London Children's Hospital, at the St Thomas' Hospital site. The paediatric OT team consists of 20 paediatric occupational therapists, and two occupational therapy assistants. We are a dynamic and welcoming team with a clear focus on continued professional development and progression across all pillars of practice is encouraged.

You will be responsible for supporting the development of knowledge and skills for junior members of staff working in this area and will contribute to service development. There is also the opportunity to further develop specialist knowledge and skills in assessment and intervention for children within your caseload as you will work in consultation with the clinical specialist OT's working in the relevant services.

You will be supervised by clinical specialist staff within the paediatric occupational therapy team, and supported by the clinical lead for paediatric Occupational Therapy and professionally managed by the Trust Head Occupational Therapist.
