Working in the Sheffields outdoor city, you will be a stone's throw from the Peak District and the citys many green spaces. Our links to the citys universities also offer you the chance to develop health workers of the future and contribute to research. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist to join our Specialist Community Learning Disability Service (SCLDS). You will provide assessment, formulation and talking therapies to adults with learning disabilities. You will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team and receive excellent supervision and support. You will provide consultancy and workshops on topics such as mental health, positive behaviour support, dementia or autism to families and providers. Person Specification Qualifications Essential Post-graduate, doctoral level training in clinical psychology as accredited by the HCPC/BPS Registration with the HCPC as a Clinical Psychologist Experience Essential Experience of working with a wide variety of service user groups, across the whole life course presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity Experience Essential Ability to work with service users presenting with complex psychological difficulties Evidence of being able to work effectively in multi-disciplinary settings and teams Disclosure and Barring Service Check This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
