An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed, enthusiastic and motivated person to join the urology nursing team. This is a across site post, mainly based at the newly established Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Mile End Hospital, which will be a 7 day service with 12 hour days.


The successful applicant will be part of a well-established multi-disciplinary team working closely with the Urology Consultants, junior doctors and other Nurse Specialists across Barts Health

You will be expected to play an active part in supporting the quality of care delivered to benign and cancer patients through clinical practice, nurse led clinics, education, research and audit.

The post holder will therefore need experience in urological nursing and to acquire substantial knowledge of the subject and will be fully supported to achieve this.


We will provide you with development opportunities and support you within your new role.

The post-holder will work as an independent practitioner and with members of the multidisciplinary team, provide advice and support to patients, carers, and healthcare professionals on bladder cancer, across both secondary and primary care. The post which will be a 7 day service with 12 hour days, across Barts Health.


The post holder will influence the positive experience of patients and carers living with bladder cancer by working with the multi-disciplinary team across the Trust and acting as the patients key worker.


The post holder will promote safe, competent and evidence- based practice, in line with national objectives and within the clinical governance framework.
