Crynodeb
The Medical Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) is an established service delivering care to suitable emergency medical patients.
The main aim of the service is to rapidly assess, diagnose and treat emergency medical patients within the same day, improving their patient journey and increasing bed capacity and patient flow within the hospital. At present we discharge up to 80% of the patients through medical SDEC, they may require further treatment , however this is achieved by patients returning the following day and therefore not requiring a hospital stay.
