Summary


We are looking for an enthusiastic HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist to join a dedicated team in a modern department, providing a high-quality service.

The successful candidates will be highly motivated and organised, possess excellent interpersonal skills and show both analytical and creative potential.

Opportunities for further study, scientific posters and papers, training courses and CPD are strongly encouraged.

Cellular Pathology has a high quality UKAS accreditation record and it is an approved laboratory for Registration and Specialist training by the IBMS. The department has recently been refurbished and is currently implementing advanced digital and computational pathology systems as part of a pan-Dorset service improvement program.

Base Location: The position will be primarily based at the Poole Hospital site however cross site cover may be required dependent on the needs and requirements of the service

Interview Date: TBC

Duties will include reception, processing and management of Diagnostic Cytology and Andrology service. A patient facing aspect will be expected for the andrology service and applicants should be aware that conversations of a personal, intimate manner need to be discussed in this role.
