Pay rate: £233 per day PAYE



Increased remote work after learning the systems and procedures during training.



The role:

We are seeking a residential property lawyer to undertake a property caseload with minimal supervision. As part of the tackling homelessness programme, the organisation is seeking to acquire residential properties on the open market.

You will be able to oversee and manage the residential acquisition programme with little supervision. Acquisitions will be freehold, and leasehold and you will be expected to deal with the full conveyancing process from initial contract to registration at the Land Registry.

Experience of working in the public sector would be advantageous.



What the client is looking for:

Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of CILEx (FCILEx).
Strong knowledge and expertise in property law and conveyancing
Skilled in advising on complex, sensitive legal matters with clarity and confidence
Proven advocacy and negotiation skills across a range of legal settings
Solid understanding of local government law and relevant practice areas
Able to manage a demanding caseload independently while contributing effectively to team goals.
Ability to grasp new information, work under pressure to meet deadlines and good organisational skills
Proactive in identifying and escalating legal risks or issues to senior leaders
Ability to present written and verbal advice in plain English avoiding legal jargon
Confident using Microsoft 365 or similar tools and eager to adopt new technologies as needed
